If the prophecies are to be believed, the future looks bright for the Porschephile. The 2020 Porsche 911 ”922” Turbo has been spotted on the Autobahn - and it’s fast. Reportedly sporting a powertrain twin-turbo charged 3.8 flat 6 under the hood, this 8-speed dual clutch virtuoso leaves its predecessors in the dust. Reports from the manufacturer say it comes with more HP than the 2019, which wields 580, putting the smart money at 600 hp.
Stealing 0 to 60 in 3 seconds flat, this 911 Turbo comes with launch control, giving you the power to rev the engine to 5000 RPM, drop the brake, and blast off. Its clutch snaps shut, the rear tires lock, and you’ve just released lightning from a bottle.
This much power has already hit the web, with test models pushing it to the limit available at the click of a button, so keep your eyes peeled or you could miss it. Available in convertible or coupe, the 2020 Porsche 911 “922” Turbo will be on streets worldwide later this year starting at $200 thousand.
The 911 Turbo is available at Porsche of Chattanooga starting September 2019.
